What We Do

“Nothing in science has any value to society if it is not communicated” – Anne Roe, 20th century psychologist. At International Youth Scientists, we sympathize with the struggle that people of all ages face when attempting to inform themselves on scientific topics. Either they turn to scientific journals – often packed with jargon and difficult to interpret – or the media – which rarely reports from an unbiased and knowledgeable standpoint. Therefore, at IYSJ we look to communicate complicated yet extremely pertinent scientific topics – technology, climate change, medical breakthroughs, and more – directly to the public in articles of such length and language that they are entertaining, truthful, and digestible. Founded in 2018, the International Youth Science Journal is an online platform that publishes high quality STEM related content written by high school students. With a team based in 5 continents and over 10 different countries, the International Youth Science Journal brings together students passionate about the science fields from around the globe, providing articles to both enjoy and deepen their understanding of science.
